Found on the pilaster on the left of the photo, between VIII.5.33 and 34, was CIL IV 63, CIL IV 64 and CIL IV 65.

This was found on the south pilaster, between VIII.5.33 and 34.

According to Epigraphik-Datenbank Clauss/Slaby (See www.manfredclauss.de), it read –

Urna  aenia  pereit  de  taberna

Sei quis  rettulerit  dabuntur

HS  LXV  sei  furem

dabit  unde [re]m

servare  po[ssimus]  HS  XX[          [CIL IV 64]

This translates as –

A bronze container has disappeared from the shop: anyone who brings it back will get a reward of 65 sesterces:

the reward for information about the thief, so I can catch him, is 20.     [CIL IV 64 with addenda]
